Support Engineer (Europe)

Location: Frankfurt and Germany Area

Job Description

You are passionate about technology, played around with Windows, Linux, BSD and a few other interesting operating systems. You know your way around Networking, understand TCP/IP and are a quick and avid learner of new fields. You will be supporting our local datacenter customers in your region and occasionally also somewhere in EMEA as first level phone support, but will also handle deployments and installations as well as break / fix support in the various locations. Your attention to detail makes sure each incident is properly resolved.

Responsibilities

  • First / second level post-sales support for our storage / compute / datacenter customers
  • Orchestrate more complex cases with the vendor’s support
  • Conduct installation workshops
  • Provide break / fix support in local datacenters

Requirements

    • 3+ year experience in support position
    • 2+ year experience in datacenter / compute / network / storage
    • Good general understanding of IT/Networking
    • Excellent troubleshooting skills
    • Ability to be on-call at given times
    • Ability to travel on short notice
    • Ability to work autonomously in an international team
    • Ideal: Practical working knowledge of Linux/BSD
    • Native speaker
    • Good english skills
